"Tough Road to Hoe"

As Dad said, "it is a tough road to hoe." He is still quite down and not feeling good. He has also had some fevers and is growing bacteria in his blood for which he is receiving antibiotics. This is not an unexpected or uncommon challenge when someone's immune system is brought to nothing, but still not preferable. The good news is we know the chemo has shrunk many of the lymph nodes that could previously be felt and Dad has lost a lot of the weight he gained originally from fluid retention.

Please pray for a spirit of hope in Dad that will get him through these challenging times, and wisdom in knowing how to support him. There are emotional downs for all of us as we see Dad struggle, and we are thankful for all the love, support and prayers!

  1. Hi Mr.Gregg and Mrs.Gregg,as Ms.Gregg so eloquently reminded us,Jesus already paid the price for our sins and He bore our sicknesses and diseases on the cross.Have you two been quoting the scriptures I sent? Do you have worship music or healing scriptures playing softly on a cd player in the room? I know it's hard but please try to speak positive. For He was wounded for our transgressions and He was bruised for our iniquities..... and with His stripes Tom Gregg is healed. No weapon formed against Tom Gregg shall prosper.IT IS SO IN JESUS NAMES,AMEN.LaVerne&Raymond

  2. Hi Tom & Kris,
We are thinking of you today especially. This morning Bill preached on the truth & implications of the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. As Paul said, we of all men would me the most to be pitied if it were not so. But it is so, and the same spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in us! This is true even when it doesn't feel like it. Somehow I find comfort in that and I hope you can as well. We are sorry for all your suffering, but please know that we keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We admire you for your endurance and pray that God will continue to sustain you and carry you though this valley. Much love, Leslie & Jim
