Sat. 27th,

Nice day, had Chris up here most of the day, and Kris joined us in the afternoon. Very nice to have the family around to talk to and play a bit of cards, and watch golf. I miss playing, but look forward to getting back to it this summer or fall. These are long days, with just the thought of having this last for months longer. But... lots of support and help from friends and family, and the hospital staff at MCV cancer unit is great! I am apparently on the cancer weight gain program, having put on 35-40 lbs in the last month with edema gain from lack of lymphnodes doing their jobs! Not a pretty site. I feel like a very, very short linebacker for the N.Y. Giants! Hopefully, they can use a little magic and start to get some of this out of me. So, enjoy the picture of Shannon and me on the front of the blog for now - she still looks fine, and hopefully I will get back in shape. Or maybe, I will just hope to look as good as Shannon, glasses and all! Thanks to all for your support during this long process!

Tom

  3. Hi Mr and Mrs Gregg,I finally figured out how this blog thing works so I'll be able to keep up with your healing progress. Of course my prayer team at church is praying for you both.We believe that there is nothing to hard for God,so I except to see you up and playing golf by summer. Here are a few scriptures that helped me when my hubby was ill to meditate on:rom.8:26,27/prov.18:21/col.1:21,22/1pt.2:24/ps.107:20/deut.34:7/jn.10:10/ps.91:10,11/mk.11:23/gal.3:13/jn.6:63/phil.4:19/3jn.2 BE BLESSED

  4. I LOVE YOU UNCLE TOM!!!! My thought and prayers are with you, daily. Please know that I am willing to help you in ANY way, providing I would be a "match". Your healing process may not be "sailing", but your inner strength and belief in the powers that be, WILL get you through it, surely! :o) XOXOX :o) Jenny

  7. Tom & Kris, You are both in my prayers daily. Would it be alright for Alexandria to pray for you at her school? Those high school friends of hers are some great prayer warriors.

  8. Hi Tom- Our prayers are with you and all of your family. I was fortunate enough 16 years ago to believe that my family was instrumental in my recovery. I am fully convinced that all our families will be instrumental with you. As Winston Churchill said to a Notre Dame graduating class in the 40's, Never, Ever Give Up. We will be thinking of you constantly and prayers will be always on the docket. Keep the wind at your back and stay away from the water. Love always- Jack

  9. Tom,
What a blessing to have such good friends rallying around you and Kris. It's indispensable!
Oh, Charlie would like to see if he is a match, being your son and all! Is there anything [food, etc] we could send you in addition to prayers [lots of them]?

  10. Tom, stopped by your house to see Kris and get an update on you last Friday. We have been thinking and praying for you constantly, just like all of your other friends and family. Take care and know that we miss you.
    Lots of Love,

We are looking forward to our Easter in Va.;maybe just maybe, there is a sun up there. We are coming down there to check and see for sure.
The pic above is great; I am not sure who is the craziest cat in the car! The pic ,as they say, "is priceless".
    We love you.
Tom, Don't be swinging the sand wedge at any nurses! OOXX Martha and Mike
